If truth be told, I'm not the worlds biggest fan of remixes. Nine times out of ten I never get round to playing them. Being a huge Jack Garratt fan though, and with the phenomenal success he's already garnered from his current singles, I couldn't pass up giving this one a spin. And it's a good job too. Enlisting the help of Bastian Langebaek aka Goldfish, co-writer/producer of 'Worry', Garratt's Remnants gets a bass heavy re-work as the Danish producer marks his ground with thunderous kick drums and jagged basslines. With Jack's woozy vocals remaining fairly intact to round off any sharp edges, what's presented is a genre-defying mix of funked out rhythm and soul. Take a listen for yourselves above.
