It's been a long time since I last featured Germany's
Xul Zolar. All the way back in May 2013 to be precise when they shared their gripping single
Hex. Vastly instrumental with the added touch of their subtle haunting vocals its moving depths were more than enough to get me hooked. Here they return with their first official release of 2014 as the band share
Ilajaly from their forthcoming debut EP, due for release early 2015. More conventional than their experimental past the bands influences of a mutual love for The Smiths and Talking Heads shine through as its translucent percussion meets stark vocals and shimmering synths. Take a listen above for yourselves.
