Today sees Manchester-based outfit Wyatt sign to Heist or Hit and release their debut single 'Morning', ahead of touring in support of Westside Cowboy. Insatiably catchy, the track’s youthful tones and bright brass sections sit neatly alongside jangling guitars, finding a sweet spot between its country twang and slacker-rock charm. Speaking about how the track was conceived, they explain, “Morning came together really quickly. The initial idea came after we'd played a gig where the guitar amp broke and then we stayed in a weird bnb in bunk beds. The next week we took it to rehearsal and by the end of the rehearsal it was basically the version of it that it is now. Getting the song together that quick made me think we had just got really good at being Wyatt after playing loads over a short time. It isn't trying to be too clever or wild, it's just a song we like to play. You can't go wrong with oohs in a chorus either, so it was satisfying to put them in.
