When I heard Aquilo had a new track, nothing quite prepared me for the sheer advancement in their sound when I finally got around to hitting play. Renown for bringing to life their idyllic surroundings of the Lake District, the pair take things up a notch as they return with their sensual electronic offering in the form of Better Off Without You. Taken from the duos forthcoming newly announced 'Calling Me' EP, set for release through B3SCI Records on 31 May, another rousing display of intimately warm yet expansive melodies is showcased as they continue to blend genres in such seamless fashion. Throw in a bit of sax, some pensive lyrics and a rather soaring chorus and you pretty much have what's quite possibly their strongest work to date.
