After a decade as a band, four albums, millions of streams and worldwide live shows, the only thing left for Nothing But Thieves was Evolution. Recently announcing their next chapter, the band returned with news of their fifth studio album ‘Stray Dogs’ released on 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Today sees them unveil their latest single and title track from the record, alongside an animated visualiser created by acclaimed British visual artist Weirdcore. Speaking about the track the band share, "We've spent a long time writing about the negative aspects of pack mentality - tribalism, division. This song is the converse. ‘Stray Dogs’ is about finding your people. The image that stayed with us was of our road family, when there are thirty of us gathered in some far-flung part of the world. Or the moment the doors open and thousands of people come streaming into a festival or one of our shows, becoming one. It's about belonging and shared momentum. I guess the community we have built for the last decade. Once the idea of ‘Stray Dogs’ was fully formed, it made sense to base the rest of the album around it." Take a listen/watch below.

Reading outfit Bone-Idle have today shared their blistering new single Liquorice. Reflecting its namesake, the track balances brooding pop undertones against towering percussion, waves of grungy guitars, and melodies that explode into cathartic release. Frontman Braidan Casey explains further, “Liquorice is a song or actually more of a letter to all the things I can’t deal with and have little patience for. It’s like stubbing your toe and wanting to beat the life out of the side of your bed, or slow walkers on a high street when you need to catch a train. It’s about all the annoying little things in life that infuriate me but the anger is always coming from something more complicated. Some people and things aren’t the way I’d like them to be, this song just reflects on my difficulty to accept that they never will be.” Take a listen below.

Following the announcement last month of their forthcoming third studio album, “You’re Gonna Need A Little Music”, set to be released 17th July via Island Records, Yard Act have today shared their brilliant new single New Beginnings. A fitting statement of intent, the track ushers in the band’s next chapter with powerful guitar work and choruses designed to stick. Describing the track, the band’s vocalist James Smith explains, “New Beginnings is a bit of light to counteract the dark we led with [Redeemer]. Sometimes we've already shed our old skin without even realising it's happening. Celebrate the new, because you can't go back.” Take a listen below.

With their recently released new EP, O’JOY!, out via SO Recordings, BIG SPECIAL have shared a new animated video for closing track “HOTEL”. Speaking on the track, the band said: "“HOTEL” is an old song that was written a good few years back.  It was good to get it in the studio and bring it into our current time.  It seems like a song about us touring and how that can be a double edged sword. And it sounds like that's the meaning to us now too, but the reality is that it was written way before we started touring. It was written about changing states of mind and a hope for help through medication whilst still holding worry for the possible personal changes ahead. It’s been interesting for us to see how songs we’ve written can even change meaning to us over time.  It makes us think more about the importance of being honest and open in our music. That’s the main way to relate, just don’t think about it relating to anyone at all, because it will always be about what it means to them". Take a listen/watch below. Following the recent announcement of their fifth studio album, set for release August 7th, DMA's have recently unveiled the record's latest single Hurracane. Channelling raw emotion through expansive guitar work and an undeniable energy, the track wastes no time building towards its soaring hook and insatiable chorus. Speaking on the new single, Matt Mason says “‘Hurracane’ has a recurrent musical motion that’s a nod to the song lyrically and we used the idea of a displacing storm to tell the story leaning into a style that we hadn’t recorded ourselves before.” Take a listen for yourselves below.

Returning to Angelic Studios, the same studio they recorded their debut album at, the band were able to look back at their growth and build that in to their next direction. As the band explain, “It's a song that's not too concerned about finality. I think imperfection and authenticity is becoming ever more valuable and it's definitely something we're drawn to.” “We've spent some time trying to work out what's real and tangible about who we are and how we use our time. The people we travel the world with, the human moments on stage, the connection we make with those who come to our shows. Making their very welcomed return, Editors have today unveiled their brilliant new single Call It In. Coinciding with news of a full run of UK and European tour dates, it marks the band’s first new music since 2022’s studio album EBM, and emerges from studio sessions in between Tom Smith’s debut solo record There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light and continuing live dates. On the single, frontman Tom Smith has said, “We spent a lot of summer ‘25 holed up in rural Gloucestershire, working on songs with all of us in a room, in a more traditional band set up. ‘Call It In’ is one of the newest songs we worked on, it’s a song about asking for help, really, in the presence of an existential dread, finding solace and comfort in someone close, escaping the deafening noise of modern life.” Take a listen/watch below with the video directed by the band’s guitarist Justin Lockey.

Today sees DMA's return with the news of their fifth studio album, set for release August 7th via Wonderlick Entertainment/Sony Music Australia/RCA UK. Coinciding with the announcement the band have also shared their latest single Heatin Park. Speaking on their fifth album and the new single, out today, Matt Mason says “‘Heatin Park' started as an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us and that collision is what gives it its feral energy. Following on from last month's single Medicine, London four-piece Tooth have today returned with news of their debut EP 'Restless In Bloom', due out June 12th via Soil To The Sun Recordings. Sharing the extended player’s title track, the band's towering energy continues, with infectious melodies underpinning their powerful, anthemic sound. “The name ‘Restless in Bloom’ came from a poetry zine put together by Ben’s girlfriend,” explains Pollock. “She explained the meaning behind the name, saying how our youth was growing into something else, blossoming into something beyond what we knew. We would fill our time fidgeting with the freedom around us, restless in apprehension of whatever’s coming once youth fades. The lyrics reflect this idea, using the backdrop of two people sleeping together, both quickly growing out of each other and realising their existence has more potential beyond the confines of adolescence.” Take a listen for yourselves below.

Coinciding with the news of their second album Resistance, due for release on 22nd May, CQ Wrestling have made their very welcomed return with their latest single, Pacifico. Lifted from the forthcoming record, the track’s charging guitars and towering, infectious melodies offer an exhilarating glimpse of what’s still to come. "As a band, we’ve been through every obstacle going; grief, covid destroying releases and tours, the stop button being forced on, probably everything you could imagine to see a band collapse. But we’ll never stop. 'Pacifico' is the song that epitomises this journey we’ve been on and what it means to us to have music and friendship as our own act of Resistance. It’s our song to find a path to change." 

Continuing about the album, they say: 
"This album is a collection of songs above all about trying to find joy and hope in dark times. We are so proud of this body of work, and have fought incredibly hard to get it done. Over the past two years writing and recording this album, this band has almost broken up from the madness and impossible nature of being an artist in the modern world, the cost of living has plummeted to new lows, mental health issues are impossible, and more conflicts are starting, pulling more people into crisis. Most significantly for us personally was the devastating loss of Jake’s father Gavin, who was a champion and original manager of this band, all the way back when we first met in school.  Resistance is everywhere and it’s the simple explanation to how this album was made. We are so proud of this, and it’s a huge testament to keep the faith, keep the joy, and keep fighting through bleak times."

Following on from last month's single Designed To Lose, Scotland’s The Twilight Sad have today unveiled their powerful new effort, ATTEMPT A CRASH LANDING - THEME. Taken from their long-awaited sixth LP 'IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE', due out 27th March via Rock Actions Records, the track sees the band pick up where they left off with towering percussion, soaring vocal sections and hardened lyrics. On the new album, singer/lyricist James Graham explained, “In the past I’ve used a lot of metaphors within my lyrics. With this, there’s not as much. The record is heavily influenced by my mental health, grief and loss, and the need to be strong in positions where you’re not feeling it. It’s a very human story, I think – this is just my version of it. I feel that everybody goes through something like this. Everybody loses somebody. Everybody questions life.” Take a listen below.

Today sees London four-piece Tooth unveil their brilliant debut single The Age of Innocence. Comprised of Tom Pollock (guitar, vocals), Ben Ashley (guitar), Charlie Arnison (bass) and Roy Lowe (drums) - the band have built a devoted following through their live shows, and this opening statement distils that immediacy and frantic energy into a tightly packed two-minute-forty anthem. "It was written almost as an epilogue for my adolescence," says Pollock. "I was almost 18 and could feel this restless and confused teenage chapter of my life slowly coming to a close. I realised how clueless I was as a teenager, but also how much fun I’d had. I think the lyrics reflect that duality and fondly reminisce on a period of life that can’t be experienced again. I think, for all of us, this song felt like the start and the end of something indefinable." The single comes accompanied by a video - directed by Hermione Sylvester - that depicts the raw, unfettered energy of a Tooth show, documenting a raucous London date in late 2025. Ahead of the release of their forthcoming new album, Selling A Vibe, released on 9th January 2026, The Cribs have today shared the record's final single, Never The Same. Packed with catchy melodies and snappy percussion, the track takes an inward look at what we lose, and what we leave behind when we grow as people. Guitarist and singer Ryan Jarman comments: "Never The Same is kind of a throwback to our original approach: trim all the fat, bring it in as short as possible and keep out of the way...streamlined. Stylish. It’s almost a little paradoxical as lyrically it’s about feeling like a different person at this point in life, and missing the chaos of your previous existence, even if it wouldn’t make sense anymore." Bassist and singer Gary Jarman adds: "We wrote Never The Same the evening that we returned home from Italy, after playing Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Away From Home’ festival. The night before, we had been talking with Louis’ manager about maybe writing and/or producing some tracks for his next LP, so upon our return to Wakefield we got to work and banged this out, fully formed, in a couple of hours. And then we became attached to it and decided to keep it for ourselves! I think that the freedom of conceiving it for someone else just meant that we didn’t overthink anything, and just got straight to the point - it came together fast. So yeah, in an alternate timeline it could’ve been a Louis song."

Brighton-based five-piece HIGHDRIVE announce their signing to Venn Records (Bob Vylan, Witch Fever) with the unveiling of their intoxicating debut single 'Cherry'. With its snarling guitars and post-punk bite, the track kicks open the door to their brooding, industrial sound. Vocalist Lucas Leith explains: "Cherry is about sitting with anger, but also about the desire to push back against apathy in whatever way you can. The song came from a time where it felt (and still feels) like the people with the power and resources to make real change were looking the other way. I found myself feeling this mix of envy and frustration, watching those who could help the most do so little for those who need it. There’s a kind of hopelessness in that, like you’re shouting into a void. But I think we have to shout.” Take a listen below.
