Ahead of their second EP On The Island We Call Home, out 21st August on Polydor, Fletchr Fletchr have today shared new single Streetlights. A collision of driving percussion, towering melodies and commanding vocals, the track balances raw power with vulnerability as it unfolds in brilliant detail. Vocalist Rohan Fletcher explains, “‘Streetlights’ is about falling in love. Feeling like everything was aligned for you, then dealing with keeping that initial connection as alight as possible through the ups and downs of a relationship. ‘Streetlights’ feels special… it’s a much more hopeful take on this topic than we’ve written before.”
On the EP, he adds: “‘On The Island We Call Home’ feels like our most polished piece of work yet. While still completely self produced, we’ve refined what we learnt from ‘We All Feel The Same’ into a much heavier hitting project that was curated to translate on the live stage. We dive deeper than we have before on this EP, and it’s only the start of our next chapter. The themes we explore are more mature and we approach them with a better sense of what’s going on around us. You can hear a bit more angst and anger in this new set of songs.”

With their first new music in 12 months, Wigan's finest The Lathums have made their very welcomed return with new single Vice Versa. Pondering vulnerability and seeking self-assurance, the track questions the feelings of not fully belonging in the world as Alex Moore's empowered vocals light up a backdrop of melodic guitar notes and dazzling instrumentation. “‘Vice Versa’ was written from a feeling of not fully belonging in the world we’ve built around ourselves,” explains Moore. “It came from that experience of having everything you need to survive, yet still feeling hungry for meaning, connection, and peace. The song sits between connection and alienation, between needing people deeply and fearing what we carry inside ourselves. Writing it with Ian down in Brighton pushed me into a much more vulnerable place creatively, and what started as a songwriting session very quickly became more like a therapy session. We spoke a lot about identity, dependence, fear and navigating life, and it ended up being probably the most open, honest and raw writing experience I’ve had in my career so far.” Take a listen below with the James Slater directed video.

After a decade as a band, four albums, millions of streams and worldwide live shows, the only thing left for Nothing But Thieves was Evolution. Recently announcing their next chapter, the band returned with news of their fifth studio album ‘Stray Dogs’ released on 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Today sees them unveil their latest single and title track from the record, alongside an animated visualiser created by acclaimed British visual artist Weirdcore. Speaking about the track the band share, "We've spent a long time writing about the negative aspects of pack mentality - tribalism, division. This song is the converse. ‘Stray Dogs’ is about finding your people. The image that stayed with us was of our road family, when there are thirty of us gathered in some far-flung part of the world. Or the moment the doors open and thousands of people come streaming into a festival or one of our shows, becoming one. It's about belonging and shared momentum. Sebastian Schub has returned with his first new music of the year sharing the insatiably catchy new single “kiss of life. (you’re kinda magical)”. Opening an exciting new chapter, the track's fun melodies and infectious choruses offer a thrilling glimpse of what's to come. Explaining further, he says, “kiss of life is definitely the most fun I’ve ever had making a record. It’s everything overflowing all at once. On the surface it’s a song about falling in love, but really, it’s an ode to my friends and the people around me - it's about the joy and gratitude I feel whenever I’m with them. Two of them unexpectedly became parents recently and it really ended up shaping the heart of the song. In the end I just had to get them all to perform on the record - including the baby. Following its premiere this evening as Radio 1's Hottest Track In The World, Manchester's Westside Cowboy have revealed their brand-new single Pin Up Boys. Already a favourite amongst their live shows, the track's polished touch brings it in to a new light through snappy percussion, soaring choruses and insatiable vocals. Speaking further on the track’s origins, the band say: “Pin Up Boys was written a year and a half ago using an acoustic guitar, a drum machine sample pad and some screwdrivers as drumsticks. It is by far the longest serving song on the album and the one that we have played the most live, which was a blessing and a curse when we came to record. After realising this song was set in its ways, we thought the recording should be a somewhat faithful version of the live performance. We hope you get something out of it”. Take a watch below. The music video captures this energy, as director Jack Shep details: “Westside
Cowboy’s performance style is so energetic and distinct. They clearly
have a mountainous future ahead of them, and it was awesome to work with
young people at the precipice of starting something really special
together. In the video we wanted to capture the band’s dynamism,
through a spotlight. We follow this fixed, malevolent spotlight chasing
our hero (played by the band’s mate, Will) as he tries to escape its
gaze. As he runs, he manages to escape, splitting into a new spotlight
with a new version of the band. The whole thing begins to buckle and
shatter.”
Supporting the album release the band will undertake their biggest headline tour to date this autumn/winter including shows at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and Manchester’s Albert Hall (full dates below). Westside Cowboy will also appear at festivals including Green Man, Latitude, and Reading and Leeds this summer, and have today announced limited record store shows around the LP’s release.

Merseyside outfit Keyside recently returned with their gleaming new effort Cocodamol. Taken from the band's self-titled debut album, due out 7th August 2026, the track captures the highs and lows of modern romance, wrapping its heartfelt lyricism in a rich blend of melodic guitars and swoon-worthy vocals. “Cocodamol” explores loose love in party culture,” reveals Parker. “Friends-with-benefits, emotional placeholders, intimacy without permanence. Following the release of April's single Joke About Divorce, and this week's latest offering, Meet Me In Love, Blossoms have excitedly announced the details of their forthcoming sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake. Deriving its name from 'The Wedding Cake', the nickname for Stockport’s Town Hall where band member Tom Ogden got married, the LP was recorded to tape at Tilehouse Studios and produced by Shawn Lee, set to be released 2nd October 2026, and is available to pre-order now. Speaking about the latest single, Tom says: ‘“Meet Me In Love” was written on a songwriting trip to the Lake District with Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire. As often happens, it was the last day and we’d pretty much accepted that there probably weren’t any more songs left to write. We started messing around with a simple two chord disco groove and, within a couple of hours, the whole thing seemed to fall into place. It’s one of those songs that felt exciting from the moment it arrived. I remember driving home from the Lakes listening to the demo on repeat for most of the journey. We later finished the recording with Shawn Lee at Tilehouse Studios, tracking live to tape, but a lot of what made us fall in love with the song in the first place came from that original demo, so plenty of those parts survived onto the final record.’

Taken from their fourth studio album Joy In Short Moments, out 23 October via Happy Artist Records in partnership with Virgin Music Group, The Snuts have returned with their new single Defibrillator. Inspired by the concept of a living wake, making the most of the time you have and celebrating your journey, the track is a call to action about choosing to show up to those around you. Speaking on the new single, Jack Cochrane says: “I wanted to write a track that detailed a conscious decision to live and love more. To take life less seriously and dilute ego as often as possible. ‘Defibrillator’ is a song that celebrates the collective and trivialises the sludgy worries of being alive.” Take a listen below.

Today sees London pop wunderkind Kamran Khan return with his dazzling new single Daddy, Just Like You, taken from his debut album ‘I Came From Nowhere & Nowhere Is Where I Am Going’, set for release September 25th via AWAL. Following a hugely successful UK tour earlier this year supporting Westside Cowboy, Manchester's Holly Head make their very welcomed return with new single I've Had Want. Melting distorted guitar textures with anthemic melodic energy, the track serves as a powerful introduction to the music still on the horizon. Singer and lyricist, Joe says: “It can take a heavy toll on your mental health to process all the negative emotions we feel about the inequality and suffering we see around the world. Our anger shouldn’t be repressed though, and we still feel we must continue to tackle the same issues we’ve talked about in the past. The music is different on this track, but it’s still about wealth inequality, racial hate and animal rights to name a few but, this time, it’s through a wider range of emotions than solely anger.” Take a listen below.

Following on from the release of recent single ‘Yeah (I’m In)’, Noonzy returns with his irresistible new offering, ‘Easy’. Opening with a warm synth-led intro, the track quickly unfolds into a showcase of his knack for infectious melodies and polished pop craftsmanship. Brimming with charm and confidence, ‘Easy’ provides another enticing glimpse into his forthcoming debut album, Plan Is Bad, due for release on 2 October via Play It Again Sam. Reflecting on the new uptempo single, Noonzy says, “What started out as a mellow demo in 3/4 (yes, a waltz!) turned into an uptempo 4/4 pop track. The intro still carries the character of what the demo used to be; there’s a stillness in it, almost like a moment of pause where everything is allowed to exist without resistance. “Hang like a willow.” As we experimented with the rhythm, we found that the 4/4 version of the same musical idea had an undeniable energy. We didn’t want to lose the character of the intro entirely though—it felt too important. That stillness is what makes the energy of the 4/4 hit the way it does, so instead of choosing between them, we found a way to bridge the two. As the track develops from the intro, a more rhythmic synth pattern and vocal harmonies are introduced, gently building momentum toward the 4/4. That shift leads into the central idea of the song: “only when you move.” It’s a turning point—a call to release everything you’ve been holding in. When the drums finally kick in, the track bursts into motion, almost like a train leaving the station.” Take a listen below.

With their recently released new EP, O’JOY!, out via SO Recordings, BIG SPECIAL have shared a new animated video for closing track “HOTEL”. Speaking on the track, the band said: "“HOTEL” is an old song that was written a good few years back. It was good to get it in the studio and bring it into our current time. It seems like a song about us touring and how that can be a double edged sword. And it sounds like that's the meaning to us now too, but the reality is that it was written way before we started touring. It was written about changing states of mind and a hope for help through medication whilst still holding worry for the possible personal changes ahead. It’s been interesting for us to see how songs we’ve written can even change meaning to us over time. It makes us think more about the importance of being honest and open in our music. That’s the main way to relate, just don’t think about it relating to anyone at all, because it will always be about what it means to them". Take a listen/watch below.
