Copenhagen's Bænch have this week revealed their brand new single ‘Teeth’, the second track to be lifted from their forthcoming ‘In Amber’ EP, set for release November 20th. Driven by propulsive guitars and infectious melodies, the track offers another exhilarating glimpse into the band’s sound, further building anticipation for what they have in store. Speaking ahead of its release, the four-piece explained: “The song contrasts its upbeat instrumental with lyrics about feeling kind of unsure of reality, drifting through life without fully comprehending - or caring about - what’s going on. With self-contrasting and abstract phrases, the lyrics capture the feeling of being stuck in a strange state of mind, prone to sabotage and chaos, but also freedom and carelessness.”

Following last month's announcement of their debut Small Notions EP, out 27th November via So Young Records, London-via-Paris newcomers Spanish Horses have today revealed their dynamic new effort, City I Believe. Driven by punchy guitar riffs and an infectious rhythmic pulse, the band’s latest single pairs soaring choruses with an off-kilter edge, showcasing their knack for crafting big, immediate hooks. “‘City I Believe’ is the first song we wrote for the EP after a long break,” frontman Tom Onezime says. “We thought let’s get loud to clear  off all the cobwebs. Following a teaser this week, Sam Fender has officially announced the Proper Massive Stadium Tour 2027 - including his biggest headline shows to date. The tour will call at six cities, which kicks off with two nights at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park, before hitting Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, two nights at Wembley, a show at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, and two nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. The tour also stops at Dublin’s Marlay Park on 1st July, before Sam’s first European festival headline slot at next Summer’s Rock Werchter in Belgium on Saturday 3rd July.

To receive access to ticket pre-sale for all UK/Irish headline dates, fans can pre-order Sam’s fourth album now from the official Sam Fender store before 9:00am GMT on Monday 26th October. The Bracknall have today released their brand-new EP Waiting For The Lights To Change, completed by their latest single Got What We Came Here For. Built on layers of soaring guitars and an undeniable melodic pull, the track finds its sweet spot between expansive indie rock and effortless songwriting. “I often say that there are singing bands and there are dancing bands,” says Jack. “We’re a singing band and this song reflects that, building the mood with soaring atmospherics. Lyrically it covers the hard road we’ve travelled, juggling day jobs and 2am finishes in the rehearsal room, now to be rewarded with these gigs and amazing fans. Ahead of the release of their second album Cancel Me (I’m Tired), out this Friday October 2nd, Fat Dog enlist the help of a Kim Jong Un impersonator in their latest video as they unveil their final taster, Heart of Darkness. Directed by Ralph Fuller, the clip sees a drunken karaoke session turn cut-throat, as the track’s pulsating melodies and swirling synth notes draw us further into its mesmerising charm. Tomorrow night, Fat Dog will host an album release eve party at London’s Dash the Henge before they dive into an onslaught of instore shows including Kingston’s Circuit on Friday, Rough Trade Bristol on Saturday and London’s Rough Trade East on Sunday. London 4-piece Saint Clair have this week returned with their first new music since July’s debut EP, Something To Be Said, unveiling their elevated new effort, ‘Dreams’. A prominent fixture in their live sets, the track’s towering choruses and rousing instrumentation deliver another exhilarating showcase of the band’s expansive sound. “‘Dreams’ somehow feels more relevant to Saint Clair now than ever,” Toby says of the single. “It is a reflection on that period of time and the person who I was; a song that takes me back to the bedroom I grew up in. Leeds based outfit L’OBJECTIF have made their very welcomed return as the band share their first new music of 2026 with ‘Walking Home (From The City)’. Unfolding through swirling guitars and shimmering synth melodies, the track builds steadily towards a climactic finale that leaves nothing unexplored. Talking about the single in more detail, singer Saul Kane added: “This track is dedicated to my friends, my formative teenage years and the realisation that it is somewhere I can no longer return to. At the time of writing I started to think a lot about those memories from around 16-20, as I experienced them become more sacred and important to me than I could ever really imagine. I’d never really felt a strong yearn for the past before so it was quite an uncomfortable sensation. I think this song has helped me process a lot of things that happened in that period, although I think it was important not to create a solemn musical landscape for the lyrics, as I wanted to demonstrate the elements of energy, life and happiness that those memories will always bring me.” Take a listen below.

Cork based four-piece BABYRAT have today unveiled their blistering first offering, Roses. Growing their reputation on the live circuit, which has already seen them share a stage with Jack White in Ireland, the band bring things together for a scintillating debut. Capturing their sharp guitar work and soaring synth melodies, the track leads with the band’s punk power-pop sound, showcasing them at their most immediate. On the new single, the band say - "Roses is about love turning to spite in a coming-of-age setting. Ahead of their eighth studio album, Surface, Echo & Sound, set for release via Play It Again Sam on 30th October, Editors have today shared their new single Seriously. With a fervent delivery, it leads a fresh new chapter for the band as soaring synth notes light up a backdrop of chiming guitars and uplifting vocals. Lyrically it’s about finding a way forward in times when life darkens, with Smith adding, “So much of the stuff that has been written about us in the past focused on a darkness or a bleakness. But every time someone wants to talk to me about our band or shows me a tattoo they have of one of our lyrics or wants me to write some lyrics down for them, it’s always lyrics that have love and warmth and hope in them. If you remove them from their setting, or perhaps the way I’ve sung them, they’re not dark at all.” Speaking about the record and how it came together, he continues, “It was a very productive summer,” says Smith. “The sun was out for the most part, we were in greenest Gloucestershire, not far from where I live, on this innocuous little industrial estate – it was pretty much the opposite of being in Berghain!” Take a listen to Seriously below.

Following on from last month's single Baby Kool (Evelyn), Nothing But Thieves return today with the final taster from their upcoming album ‘Stray Dogs’, out 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Premiered last night on BBC Radio 1 as their Hottest Record, new single ‘A Different Kind of Happiness’ is a track about both reflection and reinvention, timely suited to the band reaching a decade milestone together on the crux of album 5. Speaking about the track the band shared, "A call from your future self, a call from your past. It's about being haunted in both directions. Sports Team have made their very welcomed return this week with the immediate and loose-limbed new single Billy. "It’s a love letter to getting desperately, insanely drunk at a carpeted pub on a Tuesday night," says songwriter Rob Knaggs. "We recorded it live at RAK studios over the first weeks of summer with Seth Evans and Adele Phillips. It felt like a return to how we made the first album. Fast, and loose and loud." To celebrate their return, Sports Team will head out on a special run of intimate UK dates at the end of September, in collaboration with DIY Magazine. Following a relentless touring schedule around the UK and Europe, Chicago's Friko have today shared their brand-new single ‘Dirty Diamond’, ahead of this Friday’s release of Something Worth Waiting For (Expanded Edition), via ATO Records. The track catches the band at their most raucous, firing off jagged guitar riffs, raw energy and an exuberant delivery as it hurtles through shifting dynamics. "One of our most sinister sounding songs to date,” Kapetan says of ‘Dirty Diamond’, “this one started out as more of a six minute epic but we ended up shortening it in the studio when we recorded it. Coinciding with the news the band have shared the record's latest single Crying With You. “It’s a huge relief to finally announce the album,” vocalist Noah Learmonth says of the announcement. “We’ve lived with these songs for such a long time and they’ve become such a big part of our lives, so knowing there’s now a date when they’ll finally exist outside of us feels incredibly cathartic.” “We wrote ‘Crying With You’ whilst on a writing retreat in Joshua Tree in California,” he continues. “We were staying at this beautiful property owned by producer Nicolas Vernhes, surrounded by desert and Joshua trees for about a week and recorded a handful of demos and jams. The verse and chorus were originally different songs, but we stitched them together, which is something we like to do quite a lot” Take a listen below.

Jamie T has this week announced the release of his forthcoming sixth album Ghosts (100 Days of Morning), out October 9th via Polydor Records. Coinciding with the news the London wordsmith has shared the record's first single 3310. Speaking on the album, Jamie shares:  “Everyone has a part of themselves they keep at arm's length, even from the people they love. "Ghosts" to me is about seeing that version of yourself for the first time in a long time and trying to hold on to it. Following hot on the heels of previous single's ‘Kick Stones (The Boys)’ and ‘Pin Up Boys’, Manchester's Westside Cowboy return with the excellent Dobro - the final taster of their upcoming debut album It Goes On, set to land August 21st through Island Records. Making its debut with Huw Stephens on BBC 6 Music, the track pairs Jimmy Bradbury’s commanding lead vocal with the signature harmonies of Aoife Anson O’Connell, unfolding through crisp, skittering percussion and fuzz-laden guitars. Speaking about the single, Westside Cowboy shared: "This is our strut song, over 2 minutes in length but just under 3. A song for perhaps a younger self? Following its Hottest Record first play on Radio 1 last night, Nothing But Thieves return with their third single Baby Kool (Evelyn), taken from the upcoming album ‘Stray Dogs’ released on 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Offering more details about the single the band share, “This one felt like we wandered back into Dom's garage, where the band started. It's got one foot in glam and the other in grunge. Those two worlds’ probably shouldn't get along, which is maybe why they did. We often find that's where the interesting stuff is.” Accompanied by an intriguing (and possibly haunting) video by Maxim Kelly (Hot Chip, Shame), the track's streaming below.

Following on from last month's single Lunch Money, Naarm/Melbourne new wave/post-punk outfit Radio Free Alice have today shared their scintillating new effort Kick in the Shins. "‘Kick in the Shins’ is a fusion of two songs that never felt all the way complete," Learmonth says of the new track. "We loved the verse of one of them and the chorus of the other, and it worked when we combined the two. At its core, it explores the feeling of being confused by the culture around you, and the isolation that often comes with that confusion." Take a listen below.

Ahead of their second EP On The Island We Call Home, out 21st August on Polydor, Fletchr Fletchr have today shared new single Streetlights. A collision of driving percussion, towering melodies and commanding vocals, the track balances raw power with vulnerability as it unfolds in brilliant detail. Vocalist Rohan Fletcher explains, “‘Streetlights’ is about falling in love. Feeling like everything was aligned for you, then dealing with keeping that initial connection as alight as possible through the ups and downs of a relationship. ‘Streetlights’ feels special… it’s a much more hopeful take on this topic than we’ve written before.” 

On the EP, he adds: “‘On The Island We Call Home’ feels like our most polished piece of work yet. While still completely self produced, we’ve refined what we learnt from ‘We All Feel The Same’ into a much heavier hitting project that was curated to translate on the live stage. We dive deeper than we have before on this EP, and it’s only the start of our next chapter. The themes we explore are more mature and we approach them with a better sense of what’s going on around us. You can hear a bit more angst and anger in this new set of songs.”
