Two Door Cinema Club announce first UK & Ireland arena headline tour in seven years

Following a recent string of summer shows announced by the band, Northern Irish indie rock favourites Two Door Cinema Club today unveiled their plans to return to the UK and Ireland for their first headline tour in seven years. Celebrating 15 years of their iconic debut album Tourist History, the tour will see them take in 5 cities across the country joined by The Royston Club for the Ireland dates in Dublin and Belfast, while Circa Waves and Arkayla will appear in Glasgow, Manchester and London. Speaking on the tour, the band said: "It's been over seven years since we've done a UK and Ireland tour. Each and every one of these cities holds a special place in our hearts, we've played almost every venue there is to play in each of them, now it's time for the big ones. We can't wait." Sŵn Festival announces first names for 2026 edition

Fast approaching nearly two decades of new music discovery, Cardiff's inaugural Sŵn Festival makes its very welcomed return to the city this October for its impressive 19th edition. A long-established household name, and firm calendar favourite amongst music fans and those keen to get in early on the next hype, the festival's continued support, drive and passion for new music shows no signs of slowing with its strongest line-up to date.

Taking place Thursday October 15th to Saturday October 17th the festival will welcome Irish modern folk artist Dove Ellis alongside Cork quintet Cardinals, London contemporary artist Bel Cobain and ex-porridge radio singer Dana Margolin. Elsewhere, Yorkshire synth-pop-punk outfit Working Men’s Club will take their vibrant sound to the stage, with Manchester trio The Orielles making their return to the capital with a fresh album in tow.

It also wouldn't be Sŵn without its showcase of local talent, and this year is no exception. Whether you’re after something atmospheric, energetic or downright intense, there’s plenty to discover. Cerys Hafana continues to push folk music into fascinating new territory, while ifan’s genre-blurring sound feels both intimate and inventive. For a dose of fuzzy guitars and feel-good energy, Pys Melyn are always a reliable choice with Wrkhouse quickly making a name for themselves with catchy bilingual alt-pop.

Sŵn 2026 is once more multi-venue across all three days of programming. Venues this year include: Tramshed, Clwb Ifor Bach, St. John’s Church, Jacobs Basement, Fuel, The Canopi, Tiny Rebel, Little O’Neill’s and Porter’s.

Other Cardiff first-timers come in the form of Cardinals, Lucia & the Best Boys, Theatre, Bathing Suits, 2charm, Lauren Auder, Shaking Hand plus dozens of others, as well as much anticipated returning artists including Working Mens Club, HMLTD and Porridge Radio's Dana Margolin who come loaded with new music.”

GREEN MAN announces TALL CHILD winner of 2026 Green Man Rising Competition

Following the live final at Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach, Tall Child crowned the winner of the Green Man Rising Competition 2026, presented by Green Man and The Green Man Trust. Now set to open the coveted Green Man Mountain Stage at the upcoming, sold out festival they will also receive a week’s studio time at Prah Recordings, a live recorded session at GM26 and a physical vinyl release with Dinked Edition.

Fellow shortlisted finalists Cyn Cwsg, Glasshouse Red Spider Mite, Kiosk and The Slow Country will each perform across the weekend following in the footsteps of BRIT Award winners The Last Dinner Party, Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher and some of the moment’s buzziest bands such as Westside Cowboy, Silver Gore, Adult DVD and Keo with previous performances across the Green Man Rising stage.

Fiona Stewart, Green Man Managing Director and owner, said: “Supporting emerging talent is at the heart of Green Man. We had a record breaking amount of entrants this year, so to be a finalist is a massive win ready. GREEN MAN reveals 2026 comedy lineup featuring Joe Lycett, Bridget Christie, Stewart Lee, Josie Long, Jessica Fostekew, Jack Shep (SNL UK) & more

As Wales’ largest independent music, science and arts festival, Green Man has readily been a hot talking point for curating some of the strongest line-ups around. And it doesn't just stop at their music, as 2026's Last Laugh announcement goes to show. Returning once more across the 20th - 23rd August weekend, favourites Joe Lycett, Kerry Godliman and Stewart Lee will be joined by a whole host of comedy favourites, including 39 of the most exciting names in comedy, ranging from household names to fresh, emerging voices. GREEN MAN announces final five artists for GREEN MAN RISING COMPETITION 2026

With the longlist whittled down to Glasshouse Red Spider Mite, Kiosk, The Slow Country, Tall Child and Cyn Cwsg, Green Man, Wales’ largest music, arts and science festival have today revealed details of the seventeenth year of the Green Man Rising Final, presented by BBC 6 Music’s Huw Stephens at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff on 2nd June.

Continually supporting emerging talent, the festival continues to run their Green Man Rising competition which sees hundreds of band's apply for the chance to play at the festival, earning the top prize of the coveted Mountain Stage opening slot at Green Man 2026, a week’s studio time at Prah Recordings and a physical vinyl release with Dinked Edition. Runners-up will also secure a slot on the Green Man Rising Stage, which has previously hosted the likes of BRIT Award winners The Last Dinner Party, Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher and some recent favourites including Westside Cowboy, Silver Gore, Adult DVD and Keo.

Fiona Stewart, Green Man Managing Director and owner, said: "Launching talent is at the heart of Green Man and our incredible 5 finalists were chosen from a record breaking number of acts. When Rising was launched 18 years ago we could never have imagined how many artists have been supported in their early careers. WESTSIDE COWBOY announce biggest UK and EU tour to date this Autumn

Following a recent run of UK headline dates and hot off the back of supporting Geese on tour, Westside Cowboy return today with news of their biggest run of shows yet. Taking in venues such as London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and Manchester’s Albert Hall amongst other key cities across the UK and Europe, the band look set to further build on what's already been a bumper start to the year. Green Man Announce 2026 Line-up - Including Mogwai, Wilco, Wolf Alice + More

Following a series of cryptic clues shared last week, Green Man have today announced their highly anticipated 2026 line-up with lucky ticket holders in for a treat. With over 100 acts to delve in to, including Wolf Alice making their debut appearance, Chicago's Wilco, and Four Tet returning to the Welsh hills, it looks set to be another pristine year. With plenty of past year's GM alumni moving up the ranks including Getdown Services, Westside Cowboy and Panic Shack, with a plethroa of new and exciting acts to sink your teeth in to, August 2026 can't come quick enough.

Two Door Cinema Club announce Madison Square Garden headline show

Following a recent string of summer shows announced by the band, Northern Irish indie rock favourites Two Door Cinema Club today unveiled their plans to return to New York City for a landmark headline performance at The World’s Most Famous Arena Madison Square Garden on Sunday, September 27, 2026. They will also be joined by Phantogram, STRFKR, and Friendly Fires. The September 27 performance marks Two Door Cinema Club’s first-ever show at Madison Square Garden, a milestone moment in their long-standing relationship with New York City, one that stretches back to early headline shows, sold-out nights at Webster Hall in 2010, and most recently, sold-out nights at Pier 17. Speaking about the news, the band say “MSG is one of those bucket list venues for any artist. After we sold out Webster Hall in 2010, we took a walk past The Garden one night and our agent said, ‘This time next year, boys!’ It only took a few extra years to get there, but here we are! We love NYC and we really can’t wait for this one.”

Liverpool's Sound City reveals rising stars line-up for 2026

As excitement builds for Europe’s leading independent new music festival and conference, Liverpool's Sound City has today shared a further mix of names set to join the likes of Jalen Ngonda, Keo and Westside Cowboy.

Taking place across Liverpool's city centre this May 2nd - 3rd, the new music festival has readily become a hot-spot for future talent and this year looks to be no different. Adult Leisure, The Rolling People, Basht. and 18 additional exciting, emerging acts including Arctic Monkeys-collaborator, Tom Rowley, Tough Cookie, Bleech 9:3 and hyped five-piece, Girl In The Year Above are all set to take to the stage across two packed days of music and creative discovery.

Immersed Festival 2026 – Lineup Announcement

Following an impressive year in 2025, Cardiff's Immersed Festival is set to return to Cardiff on Saturday, 7 March 2026 at Tramshed, showcasing an exciting mix of emerging and established talent, set across 4 stages.

Headlining this year’s festival are genre-defying six-piece CVC, who make their Immersed debut after a run of sold-out shows across the country. They’re set to lead an electrifying bill alongside indie favourites The Pill and Welsh Music Triskel Prize winners Source.

The festival has recently strengthened its reputation as a forward-thinking, industry-shaping initiative by winning the prestigious Teaching Innovation award at the University Alliance Awards - a recognition of its outstanding impact on higher education.

Curated by Creative Industries students at the University of South Wales and supported by Creative Wales, the event also raises vital awareness for Music Declares Emergency, the music industry’s climate-action charity.

This year’s theme, ‘Believe in Magic’, transforms the festival into a month-long celebration of imagination, wonder, and creative possibility. Participants are encouraged to challenge convention, spark curiosity, and use creativity as a force for hope and positive change.

More than thirty artists and bands will perform across four themed stages including the flagship Believe in Magic stage and the community-driven Togetherland stage, which will spotlight homegrown talent from Cardiff’s Sound Progression alongside international artists presented by BBC Horizons.

Huw Stephens, BBC Radio DJ and recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University of South Wales said: “Immersed has become a welcome addition to the live music scene in Wales. Its focus on talent, creativity and production is invaluable, and its work with students in nurturing their community is highly successful. The event itself is professionally delivered, with a special experience for those involved.”

Interpol & Bloc Party announce 2026 UK & EU co-headline tour

Having teased fans this week, Interpol and Bloc Party have today announced a mammoth joint UK & EU tour set to take place in 2026. The tour begins in Copenhagen on 10 November at the Royal Arena, before heading through Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam, and reaching the UK on 20 November for a first show at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. With both band's needing no introductions, it's set to be an incredible run of dates with anticipation already building. Tickets go on general sale at 9am GMT on Friday 7 November; fans signing up to the bands’ mailing lists will receive access to a pre-sale from 9am GMT on Wednesday 5 November. TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB celebrate 15th anniversary of 'Tourist History' - Crystal Palace Park, Friday 26 June

Following the recent announcements of live dates in Cork and Dublin to mark the15th anniversary of their debut album Tourist History, much loved Northern Irish indie band Two Door Cinema Club have today announced a huge outdoor show taking place at London’s Crystal Palace Park on Friday 26 June 2026. Set to play the album in full alongside some of their other greatest hits, they’ll also be joined on the day by special guests The Vaccines, playing What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, plus alt-pop artist James Marriott and indie rock four-piece The Royston Club.

Two Door Cinema Club say: “London is the first place outside of Ireland we called home, we recorded Tourist History in this city and it’s been the setting for so many iconic moments in our career. We’re proud to be Irish but this also feels like a hometown show for us. London knows how it’s done so we can’t wait to celebrate with you.”

Support Acts Announced for War Child UK’s ‘Day of the Girl’ Concerts

Following on from last month's announcement which will see English Teacher, girli, and Katy J Pearson set to perform intimate live shows in venues across the country in support of War Child, the support acts have now been revealed.

Girli will perform on Thursday 9th October at London’s Oslo, with support from Dirt Flirt. A solo project of London based Kit Eaton-Kent, a self-proclaimed pop enthusiast and ‘ex-emo’.

Last year’s Mercury Prize winners, English Teacher, will take to the stage on Friday 10th October at Liverpool’s Hangar 34, with Neve Cariad supporting. Neve Cariad said: “We’ll be playing a gig raising money for War Child, who put emphasis on the women and girls particularly vulnerable to war. We felt it incredibly important to help those who have been affected, and continue to be affected by the wars and genocides that perpetuate.”

And closing out this year’s Day of the Girl in style, Katy J Pearson will perform on Sunday 12th October at London’s iconic The 100 Club, with Jimmy Means Smut as her opener and Sarah Meth as main support. Jimmy Means Smut is the moniker of London-based musician, Jasmine Miller-Sauchella. Jimmy Means Smut said: “I’m proud to be supporting War Child’s Day of the Girl, in solidarity with girls and women affected by conflict around the world. It’s important that we stand with girls living in war zones, amplify their voices, and work towards a world where their hopes aren’t lost to violence, but instead nurtured with dignity, opportunity and freedom.”

The Day of the Girl concerts are more than just performances; they are a lifeline for girls and women living through war. Right now, 612 million women and girls worldwide are living in conflict zones. A staggering 50% increase on this same number just 10 years ago.

By taking part, fans and supporters will be supporting War Child’s work: Providing specialist mental health support; creating safe spaces to learn and play; promoting girls’ and women’s rights in communities; ensuring access to health care and legal support; providing job training and financial aid, and more to some of the most vulnerable women and girls around the world.

Sŵn Festival announces new names for 2025

Today, Wales' leading new music festival Sŵn reveal a fresh batch of names added to an already bursting line up. Following on from June's initial announcement which saw renowned musician, poet, activist and queer icon Mykki Blanc, art-punk five-piece Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Bristol indie-dance duo Getdown Services and Dublin quintet Gurriers lead up the names, an exciting new round-up of artists have joined the bill.

Brighton-formed quintet Squid will join fresh Partisan Records-signee TTSSFU, Babymorroco, Gruff Rhys and Naima Bock to name but a few.

William Dickins, Live Music Manager at Sŵn, says of the latest batch of additions: "We’re finally ready to reveal the next wave of artists for Sŵn Festival 2025! We're very proud of this year's lineup and can't wait to welcome some outstanding names we've been loving for years, as well as some brand new up and comers that we know will be instant favourites for people. We're also very glad to be utilising some new venues to the city, and extremely excited to see what opportunities they add to Cardiff's music scene as a whole. English Teacher, girli, and Katy J Pearson are all set to perform intimate live shows in venues across the country in support of War Child - the specialist charity working to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones globally. girli said: “Girls are the group most affected by war worldwide so I’m really excited to be raising money with War Child for Day of the Girl". Katy J Pearson added: “I will be playing a gig at The 100 Club on the 12th of October with two of my favourite artists supporting, Sarah Meth & Jimmy Means Smut. This gig will be raising money to provide vital support to women in war zones. Thank you to War Child for having me!”

Since 2021, Day of the Girl has raised over £250K for War Child, with some of the UK’s most exciting artists, including Griff, Lola Young, Olivia Dean and Bree Runway, lending their voices to support the charity’s work protecting, educating, and advocating for the rights of girls and women amidst the turmoil of war.

By taking part, fans and supporters will be supporting War Child’s work: Providing specialist mental health support; creating safe spaces to learn and play; promoting girls’ and women’s rights in communities; ensuring access to health care and legal support; providing job training and financial aid, and more to some of the most vulnerable women and girls around the world.

Trawsnewid : Transform returns to Aberystwyth 2026

Taking place at Aberystwyth Arts Centre across the 6th and 7th February 2026, Trawsnewid makes its welcomed return as the festival unveils its first wave of acts set to play.

The first lineup announcement sees an iconic list of names, led by the legendary A Guy Called Gerald, dubbed the “Godfather of the Beat” who ignited Europe’s acid house movement with the UK’s first acid house record, the 1988 classics Voodoo Ray and Pacific State. His pioneering work went on to shape the foundations of jungle and drum & bass.

Joining the bill are prolific Welsh duo The Bug Club, fresh from signing to Sub Pop Records and riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed seventh album Very Human Features, alongside an extensive UK and European tour.

Also confirmed are Adult DVD, Leeds-based Welsh outfit Tristwch y Fenywod, Welsh Music Prize winners Lemfreck and Georgia Ruth, plus Mali Haf, Sage Todz, HMS Morris, and Ynys.

The festival team are once again working with local artists and promoters across the
region, creating a new opportunity for creatives to develop their work, by collaborating with the arts
centre and FOCUS Wales on this special event.

THE LIBERTINES announce Gunnersbury Park warm-up show in West London - this Thursday!

Ahead of their upcoming show at Gunnersbury Park in London on 9th August, The Libertines have announced a very special one-off live club show at an undisclosed venue in West London, taking place on Thursday 31st July. The band will take to the stage at 7.30pm before heading straight back on the bus afterwards for more sold out shows in France and Belgium.

Entrance to the intimate Gunnersbury Park warm-up show is on a first come, first served basis with 250 tickets available priced at £22.50 (including booking fee). To be in with a chance of attending, fans can sign up here.

The final, final show of the world tour, and indeed for the foreseeable future, is at Gunnersbury Park in London with support coming from very special guests Supergrass, Soft Play, Hak Baker, Lambrini Girls and Real Farmer.

This show brings to a close The Libertines' world tour in support of their No.1 album All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, that has seen them sell out shows across the world from Australia - Mexico City, Seoul - France, Germany and now Shepherd's Bush.

Oasis announce 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of (What's The Story) Morning Glory?

Ahead of the bands forthcoming sold-out global tour which kicks off this week in Cardiff, Oasis have announced a special 30th anniversary deluxe edition of (What's The Story) Morning Glory?. Set to feature new unplugged versions of five classic recordings, ‘Cast No Shadow’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’, the record will be a must for collectors and fans alike. The new unplugged versions were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho from the original master recordings at Noel’s studio, Lone Star Sound, in London and the first offering of ‘Acquiesce’ is revealed today – listen here and watch the visualiser below.

Today’s announcement comes as Oasis commence the most sought-after tour on the planet this year with their Live ‘25 tour. Unprecedented demand for tickets further underlines the ever-growing appeal of their music, with fans from 158 different countries applying for tickets to the UK shows when they went on sale last summer. As the dates have drawn nearer, the excitement has continued to reach fever pitch. The global tour commences at Cardiff Principality Stadium on Friday, before heading to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the UK, and then continuing worldwide. Full dates below.

Fans can explore each tour stop through curated hotspots including landmarks tied to the band's history, from legendary local music venues they’ve played at to iconic bars, plus official merch outlets. Official Oasis Live ‘25 Fan Stores To Launch

Ahead of the sold-out Oasis world tour, the official Oasis Live ‘25 Fan Stores are set to launch nationwide, with the first one opening Friday 20th June in Manchester. Featuring the range of official tour merchandise, including exclusive brand collaborations, limited-edition products and many items not available anywhere else - the stores are set to perfectly complement the eagerly awaited Oasis live experience this summer.

The first space to launch will be in Manchester this Friday, in what will be a series of stores landing across the UK and Ireland. Launching in store and online will be the official Oasis Live ‘25 merchandise collection, with details to be revealed later this week.

As well as Manchester, the fan stores will hit cities across the UK and Ireland including Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Birmingham, with Manchester being the first opening from 20th June-27th July.

Ever since the announcement of the comeback tour, the response from all corners of the globe has been nothing short of staggering. With stadium dates selling out in record time and additional shows added to meet the massive demand, the official fan stores across the country will enrich the overall fan experience.
