South London six-piece Gently Tender have returned this week with their dazzling new single Wild In The Uplands, the second track from their recently announced EP This Was Once Fields, out 22nd May via TODO Records. The track finds the band seamlessly blending folk-infused melodies with soaring pop elements as they create a concoction filled with rich textures and emotional depth. Speaking about the track's conception the band share: “Wild in the Uplands is a song about escape from city to country. It’s about not having respect for fences and private land, roaming free and getting into mischief. Out of all the illegal activities a person can partake in, trespassing is one of the most exhilarating!” Take a listen for yourselves below with the official video that perfectly captures the track's freeing nature.
Gently Tender live Friday 15th May – The Great Escape Festival, Brighton Wednesday 27th May – Institute of Contemporary Arts, London Saturday 1st August – All Together Now Festival, County Waterford
