The Defamation of Strickland Banks

The 26 year old Forest Gate rapper is back with his brilliant new album 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks'

Not only is the new album dropping April this year he is also starring in his own movie under the same title. As you may be aware Ben Drew has flourished as an actor over the years staring in such films as Adulthood and more recently Harry Brown.

Plan B had been recently working with Chase & Status to release a number of tracks such as End Credits so it is great to see him back doing his own songs.

His debut album charted at number 8 in the UK albums which was groundbreaking at the time for a UK Rap artist. His follow up was the 'Paint It Blacker' Mixtape, Produced by Sem which is packed out with timeless classics such as Radiohead, Coldplay, Jose Gonzalez, Nirvana & The Rolling Stones sampled and given some of the deepest lyrics the scene has to offer.

This time round it seems Ben has matured a lot. There isn't much rapping and he has taken a completely different style. We all knew he was musically tallented with many of his songs featuring his guitar playing and acoustic skills and this album really lets him shine through.

If you can accept this change in direction then I can assure you that this album will fulfill all your requirements.
