So I guess The Young Friends have Myspace to thank for their formation. Andrew McKee and Brant Stuns met via the social networking site during their first year at High School. After being involved in several failed bands they decided to give it one more attempt following a recent road trip to San Diego that left them inspired to make surfer music, Even though neither had listened to much of it before. Which really doesn't show up in their music, It really sounds as if they have years & years of experience behind them. Grab their first album out now on itunes. "Hella" was written and recorded in Andrew's bedroom during their senior year, and sets the tone perfectly for summer. So, no matter where you live, no matter the time of year; close your eyes, listen and pretend it's a beach.
