I must say I have not really listened to much electronic music lately. Not because I don't like it. Just that most of it is really boring and generic. DWNTWN from LA seem to have a fresh and alternative take.The perfect balance between pop and electronica combined to form a beautifully uplifting production. Layered synth stabs that make me want to throw my hands in the air. Perfectly fitted vocals. An all round very promising release.

Their 'Midnight Ride' Mixtape is due out summer 2011. Having been compared to everything from New Order, Imogen Heap, The Kills, Sleigh Bells and even Kap Bambino it's sure to be a solid effort.
