Greenman Festival 15 - 18th August 2013 | Preview

Getting bored from the normality that many festivals bring? Or is the corporate buzz of your typical music weekender becoming mundane? Then why not head to Green Man this summer. Set amongst the beautiful Black Mountains deep within the Brecon Beacons there's not many festivals that can boast such a breathtaking backdrop. Now in its 10th year Green Man returns with an ever distinguished line-up featuring a whole host of bands and new musical discoveries to sink your teeth in to.

Advancing far beyond its beginnings this small Welsh festival has grown in to becoming one of Wales's premier and most revered live music events on the calender. With a strong focus on Independence and a unique diversifying appeal, bringing a fresh face to the world of festivals, Green Man looks set to excel itself once more as it returns on 15-18th August 2013.

With the likes of Band Of Horses, Ben Howard and the Villagers playing across the 3 day event, festival organisers have gone on to pull out all the stops. Not to mention performances by other respected names such as Folk legend Roy Harper, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and Local Natives. There really is too many to pick from. And it doesn't end with just the music. Renowned for their excellent selection of interactive activities you can be assured of an all-round great time. Featuring 10 entertainment areas with the UK's only 24 hour festival license the fun never stops with comedy, poetry, literature and art throughout the festival grounds. With fun for the under 12's and a designated area for teens everyone is catered for. And having just announced their special 'Einstein’s Garden' area with this years theme set to 'heroes' over 100 mesmerising performances will be featured, from live comedy, music and theatre to walks, talks and interactive installations. It's safe to say you won't have a moment spare. That is unless you want to, as what's a festival if you can't relax and unwind. So with that said, once you're all tired out from the excitement, you can put your trust in the many spa and therapy treatments available giving your body a well earned rest ready to do it all over again.

With a big emphasis on independence through community support you can be sure to find plenty of local produce available including food, beers, ales, ciders, wines and spirits satisfying all of your hunger and thirst quenching needs to keep you jolly.

With arguably the most picturesque festival surroundings to be found anywhere in the UK, Green Man Festival has managed to maintain all of its beauty and charisma year in year out and with very competitive prices 2013 looks set to be its strongest to date.
