Bombay Bicycle Club | Carry Me

Whilst it feels like we've been waiting an eternity for a new Bombay Bicycle Club record in reality it was only August 2011 when they brought out their 3rd studio album 'A Different Kind Of Fix'. Having been hard at work on number 4 the London four-piece return to our stereos (or more likely laptop speakers) with Carry Me, the first cut to be taken from their new album (still untitled as of yet), marking a very different change in direction for their sound. Collaborating with award-winning creative company Powster the band have delivered a cutting edge interactive video that backs the release of the new single. Be sure to head on over to http://carryme.tv/ to check it out.
"I think in terms of the album, there’s a romantic side of it," says Jack. "There’s a relationship that always seems like it’s in the lurch and ending, but it prevails nonetheless." A metaphor for the band? "I hope not!" says Jamie. "I do think it ties into our lack of cynicism, though. More than on any of our other albums, there is a feeling of hopefulness."
Premiered as Zane Lowe's hottest record in the world tonight, check it out above. The new album will be released February 3rd 2014 via Island Records.
