Jack Garratt | Water
Emerging from its swampy undergrowth, Jack Garratt's latest effort Water acts as an almost bipolar opposite to his debut I Couldn't Want You Anyway. Of course, still present is his endearing hushed vocals yet here we have a more primitive approach as submergent guitars and a scattering of irregular percussive hits and claps trickle inwards before the track breaks in to its more RnB driven groove. Garratt's already showing fine talent in crafting such divine compositions and with his continued progression and the promise of an EP on its way it looks like we only have more fine music to look forward to.
