Having overplayed the band's previous tracks to an almost death it's great to have the Bristol five-piece return with their new single Golden City. Set to be taken from a freshly revived 'Oceans' EP due for release in the coming weeks, ever since hearing it last month when I caught the band at their hometown show I've been keen to check the official audio and it far from disappoints. Combining euphorically swelling guitars with disco inspired basslines and keys the band take a bold new step with a parting direction from their tropically infused vibe, yet with an ambitious drive forward and Chris Caines' simmering vocals at the forefront it's still undoubtedly Coasts at heart. Golden City most certainly gives us a luminous indication of what's to come as we eagerly anticipate their long awaited debut full length record. Have a listen for yourselves above.
