Fink | Looking Too Closely

For me, there's always been fragile ground when treading over folky guitar music. A bit hit and miss so to speak. When it's a miss, it becomes undeniably boring and seems to drone on forever with its mundane tones. Yet get it right and it can open up a whole world within as you begin to run through your innermost thoughts. It's safe to say Fink falls wholeheartedly on the hit side here with Fin Greenall's return as the now fully formed band prepare to release their new album 'Hard Believer'. You can stream the new single above now which brings back reminiscent memories of his 2009 record 'Sort Of Revolution' with its wistful strums of longing guitars and disconsolate vocal delivery. “We wanted to go deeper this time, and be more ambitious with the music,” Fin explains, “to move the sound forward without losing touch of where we’re from.”
'Hard Believer' will be released 14th July 2014 through R’COUP’D. You can Pre-Order from iTunes here.
