It's been almost a year since I first stumbled upon LA residing artist Gallant and his silk smooth vocal talents when his Maths Time Joy produced single Jupiter Grayscale instantly won me over. Borrowing influence from all corners of the electronic spectrum and delivering them in such an engaging manner was always going to be a hit formula in my books, and as he returns on equal form with his latest track Open Up, it's clear to see why. Through a rousing blend of sensual synths with an ambient backdrop of experimental percussion comes another fine representation of Gallant's elegant talents as his almost falsetto vocals build with each layer of intensifying melody. Undeniably honest and almost certainly his strongest work to date, Open Up looks set to pave the way to a wondrous year ahead. Take a listen above.
