The Blog Sound of 2016 | Winner Announced

Following on from last month's announced longlist, I can now happily reveal the artist topping the poll this year is Guernsey based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mura Masa, the first male to do so in its history. Whilst I haven't yet got around to featuring him, I have been introduced to his music through the excelling collab with Shura that's clocked up well in excess of a million Soundcloud streams alone. His solo work far from disappoints either, Lovesick Fuck below going to demonstrate just how vast and diverse his capabilities are. Throw in to the mix being voted number number 5 in this year's BBC Sound of 2016 Poll yesterday, the next 12 months look to house a very promising outlook for the fresh-faced 19 year old.

The Full list of the top 5 acts that received the most votes can be found below:

1st Mura Masa
2nd The Japanese House
3rd Aurora
4th Aquilo
5th Loyle Carner
"For the 2016 poll 58 music blogs each voted for their 3 favourite acts and the top 15 of those acts form the Blog Sound of 2015 longlist. To qualify for a vote any act chosen must not have had a UK top 20 single or album, either in their own right or as a named collaborator prior to 6th November 2015".
