Somewhat easing the pain of tackling 400+ emails having had a week off from blogging is the glorious sounds of Kissing Party's latest single Jimmy Dean. Written about the real issues women face in 2019, like being stalked around the neighbourhood by creeps and feeling unsafe in ‘safe spaces’, it raises the question are we all really doing enough to move with the times. Through their hazy guitar pop and DIY-aesthetic the band channel an authentic display of endearment, with plenty of infectious melodies and vocal hooks thrown in for good measure.
