néomí - so i let you (15th of june - evening)

Returning last week with the final teaser track from her long-awaited debut album 'somebody's daughter', set for release on May 3rd via [PIAS], néomí has unveiled her latest single so i let you (15th of june - evening). Written about someone you're not able to let go of, despite knowing you're not right for each other, the track's deeply personal message comes to life in the most wondrous of ways through its uplifting melodies and heartfelt delivery. Adding about the new release, she said, "'so I let you' is about one person I really couldn't let go. I loved him and still love him so deeply that I just couldn't bear the thought of living without him. Even when I already figured out we weren't made for each other, in that exact same moment I was always hopeful we could work it out. I'm singing about our indifferences and seeing the signs, but also just needing one moment of him whispering my name and I wouldn't want him to let me go. Oh well; you could say another love drama of a 24-year-old; fair enough maybe it is. But it's special to me for sure. I wrote this song with a dear friend too, which makes it even more special. 'so I let you' is my very favourite track on the album. It hurts so much to sing that bridge, but it also feels liberating in a type of way. It gives me the strength to stand by the choices we've made, or so.”" Take a listen for yourselves below.
