Announcing their debut album,‘Is It Too Late To Freak Out?’, set for release October 22nd via AWAL, Indie pop purveyors Low Girl have this week shared the record's first single - Handbrake. With swathes of hazy vocals and jangly guitar riffs, the track serves as an exciting introduction to what lays ahead through its infectious and playful nuances. Detailing their upcoming release, lead vocalist Sarah Cosgrove explained: “This track came about on a gloomy November evening through Bradley, myself, and a Mac. We had just finished touring with October Drift, and I had a case of the post-tour blues. Some of that angst evidently bled into the track, but lyrically ‘Handbrake’ deals with themes of guilt and desperation. I think, like many of the album tracks, I’m expressing things I was too passive to articulate in the moment.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
