Today sees Trout unveil her first new music since 2023’s critically praised debut EP Colourpicker in the form of new single Bone. Written following a move from Liverpool to the South Coast, the track is a call to action for change when feeling stuck. Packed with hazy guitar layers and a thumping bassline it offers up a brilliant introduction to what lays ahead. On bone, Trout says: "bone was written after an argument/conversation with someone I really care about, and having the realisation that ‘’I might be the problem”, and consequently reflecting and rethinking my actions, feeling regret and wanting to change. The song is kind of an apology letter to this person, and me trying to take responsibility for my actions, even though “I feel much better when I’m not the one to blame”. This is the song I’m most proud of production-wise, and I really went to town on it. It’s a bit chaotic bit I was having fun trying new things out" Take a listen for yourselves below.
