Copenhagen's Elliot teams up with Emily Nyhuus aka Reveal Party on his latest single, Nothing at All. After their conversation, the duo felt compelled to explore a reality neither had lived through first-hand, the fraught dynamics of a violent father figure at the heart of the track. Blending soaring vocals, irresistible pop sensibilities, and an ever-intensifying theme, their creation is steeped in reflection and profound gravity. “There’s something strangely liberating about writing through discomfort —through the unforgivable. Maybe it’s because it allows you to say what’s never been said, even as you feel a creeping fear of being changed by the story or identifying too closely with it,” Elliot explains “My lyrics are often a kind of escapism —grand, cinematic feelings anchored in personal experience. Emily gave me a new lens: one that sees the intimate, raw, emotive reality of the marks we inherit from those closest to us, and the often-unspoken stories that shape who we are and become.
