Brighton newcomers M. Woodroe have burst on to the scene with news of their debut EP The Treatment of Fracture, due out 18th via Venn Records (High Vis, thistle., Opal Mag, Night Swimming). With lead single Sweetness, Sweetness, the band deliver a thrilling preview of what’s to come, as snarling basslines and charging energy surge to the forefront of the track’s infectious sound. Speaking about the single, frontwoman Marcie Garwell stated: “It’s a song about many things -weakness, identity, acquiescence, confusion...the poison you drink to not make a fuss. It’s a pipe bomb sent to order, hate mail addressed to compromise, yet it’s indecisive in all its threats and feelings -never sure of where it lies.” Listen below.
