The Vestals, a chance discovery at Cardiff's Swn Festival a year or so back, impressed from early on with their disconsolate yet strangely uplifting nuances, previous single 'Perfect Pain' being a strong contender for my track of the year at the time. Here the band return with their latest effort Life Without Love taken from their newly released EP of the same name. With the urgency of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and the happiness evoking melodies of Sweden's Shout out Louds the Newport, South Wales outfit manage to hold their own in creating something of such indulgence in their own unique style.
