In a sad, often misconstrued way, I neglect a hell of a lot of music from Wales - for whatever reason that may be, from time to time it makes a nice change to break the habit and report on some homegrown talent. First on scene looking to change that is Newport's The Hearts with their latest single Lips. Set for release January 19th as part of a two track EP, the South-Wales trio look set to be making big waves as their airy production raises aspirant guitars and driving percussion to dizzying heights. Having already racked up 10,000+ views on their debut video alone, playing this year's Hyde Park’s British Summer Time festival with Arcade Fire, not to mention a Paul Weller support slot at Cardiff's Castle, things are already heating up nicely for them and look to continue well in to the new year.
