Changing my perception on Sunday night blog submissions, Castle Pines show just why I shouldn't be so quick to rule them out. Whilst on average anything sent through over the weekend tends to fall flat on my tastes, the Corona, CA four-piece hit all the right spots with their anthemic high energy sound. Filled with angst-driven vocals and high-strung guitars, Hollow Cause becomes a roller coaster ride from the offset with sudden twists and turns that leave me eager and hungry for more. Take a listen for yourselves below. With two studio albums, a live album and several recently released singles, the band is said to be working on their third studio album.
