Bloc Party share Traps; announce new album Alpha Games + 2022 UK/EU tour

Back with their first brand new single in five years, last night saw Bloc Party return to their post-punk roots with their stunning new single Traps. Built upon it's driving basslines and charged up percussion comes a brilliant re-emergence for the band as they let out their pent up energy to great effect in an outburst of nostalgia that meets their forward thinking logic. Speaking of the new single, Bloc Party singer, songwriter and guitarist Kele Okereke says: “From the moment we wrote ‘Traps’, we knew it had to be the first thing people heard from this album; playing it in soundchecks on our last tour before it was finished and hearing how it sounded in those big rooms and outdoors.” Take a listen below for yourselves.
