Breaking silence, Ireland/Wales-based artist Otto Aday returns with his powerful new single Friends Like Lovers - a soaring pop anthem brimming with emotional intensity. The track captures the ache of being strung along, as heartfelt lyrics and sweeping melodies paint a vivid portrait of love left waiting in the wings. “It was a turning point really” Otto explains “I was drawn into something that felt incredible in the moment, I really believed that the dreams we spoke about would come true. Maybe I was just being naive or I guess hopeful”. The track expresses the betrayal felt from empty promises made by someone already in a relationship. “They knew what they were doing” Otto continues “I was kept on a piece of string to pull at whenever they were having a fight with their partner.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
