21-year-old singer/songwriter Daffo returned ahead of the weekend with their brand new single Dagger Song, taken from the forthcoming debut album Where the Earth Bends, due September 26th via Concord Records. Driven by grungy guitars and raw, unpolished vocals, the track bursts out as a powerful statement of what’s to come from the rising artist. “Someone I was very close with for a long time decided to stop speaking to me, and I wrote this song about our matching dagger tattoos and about mourning our relationship overall”, Daffo explains. “‘Dagger Song’ was written in one go, but it’s a nice example of letting myself sit in my feelings rather than intellectualising or analysing them from a distance".
