Ahead of their highly anticipated second album ‘Songs For The Spine’, due out this Friday August 8th, The Royston Club have this week shared the final teaser from the record as they unveil 30/20. Packed with soaring choruses and irresistible guitar melodies, the track showcases their evolving sound and marks a bold step in their musical growth. Guitarist and main songwriter Ben Matthias says, “I wrote ‘30/20’ after spending a weekend back home in Wrexham. I was feeling guilty about the lack of visits back home throughout the past year and this guilt reached a sort of peak when I found myself speeding over the new 20 mph speed limit. Wales had lowered the 30mph speed limit to 20mph the year before and I had simply forgot because I was now living in England. I felt a strange guilt when I realised my mistake and started questioning whether I had made the right decision leaving my home and putting blind faith in a song.’” Take a listen for yourselves below.
