Taking place at Aberystwyth Arts Centre across the 6th and 7th February 2026, Trawsnewid makes its welcomed return as the festival unveils its first wave of acts set to play. 

The first lineup announcement sees an iconic list of names, led by the legendary A Guy Called Gerald, dubbed the “Godfather of the Beat” who ignited Europe’s acid house movement with the UK’s first acid house record, the 1988 classics Voodoo Ray and Pacific State. His pioneering work went on to shape the foundations of jungle and drum & bass. 

Joining the bill are prolific Welsh duo The Bug Club, fresh from signing to Sub Pop Records and riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed seventh album Very Human Features, alongside an extensive UK and European tour.

Also confirmed are Adult DVD, Leeds-based Welsh outfit Tristwch y Fenywod, Welsh Music Prize winners Lemfreck and Georgia Ruth, plus Mali Haf, Sage Todz, HMS Morris, and Ynys.

The festival team are once again working with local artists and promoters across the
region, creating a new opportunity for creatives to develop their work, by collaborating with the arts
centre and FOCUS Wales on this special event.
