Following on from last month's single 'The Table', Bristol’s Grandmas House have today shared the latest single from their long-awaited debut album 'Baby You’re A Winner', ahead of its release on August 21st release via Brace Yourself Records. Twisted and brooding, the track's switching tempos and meandering textures serve up another exciting taste of what's to come. “Writing ‘Blue Oblivion’ was a pivotal moment for us as a band,” they explain, “as it made us realise that we didn’t have to write music within any boundaries. It opened up the way we would go on to write the rest of the album, encapsulating feelings of love and loss with a balance of light and dark.” Take a listen below.
Alongside the news of ‘Blue Oblivion’ comes word of a tour of UK record stores in support of the album. Full dates below. For those in Bristol looking to hear the album, the band have also announced a free entry listening party for July 31st at Bristol Beer Factory including limited edition Grandmas House beer cans, Grandmas House x Pizzarova specials, ‘Spin the Wheel’ prizes and the chance to meet the band’s mascot, The Headless Man, in person.
