Wolf Alice | Storms

Fast becoming one of my most blogged about act's it's been incredible to watch Wolf Alice consistently grow over time. From my very first encounter hearing Leaving You to the striking advancement from folk-tinged Pop to all out Grungey Rock has been nothing short of a magical and wonderful journey. Following on from the stream of Moaning Lisa Smile a few weeks back the London four-piece return to share a second slice from their forthcoming EP in the form of Storms. Not for the faint hearted the band's latest venture sees them play pretty true to the track's title as a brash wall of sound comes hurtling towards you at lightening fast speed. Quickly picked up by its swirling, hurricane induced guitars your grinded down to a pulp through gritty basslines and break neck tempo shifts, Ellie's vocals coaxing in to a fall sense of security before the next wave crashes in to you. I don't know about you but I'm loving this new beefed up sound! Storms is taken from the 'Creature Songs' EP, out via Dirty Hit Records on 26 May.
