Pale Waves - Perfume (Official Video)

Today might have just been like any other unassuming rainy Thursday's, that was until Pale Waves made their unexpected yet highly awaited return with their brand new single, Perfume. Injecting a vibrant kaleidoscopic array of colour into the other wise monochrome state life's become in the UK, the track's shimmery 80's inspired synths and catchy vocals offer an alternative outlook. The new single is taken from their fourth album Smitten, due 20th September via Dirty Hit and premiered last night as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. “I found myself writing about not just a certain time period, but my whole life, from years ago,” shares Heather (Baron-Gracie). “When I fall in love, I fall deep, and it’s interesting to me that you can feel so fascinated and smitten with someone and then they can become a total stranger. So I feel like Smitten really summarised perfectly what I felt for others at a certain point.” Continuing about the new single Perfume’, she says: "’Perfume’ is the perfect introduction into the new world we’ve created. It's queer, feminine and romantic and it encapsulates the essence of Smitten." Take a listen for yourselves below.
