Bolton four-piece Florentenes have returned today with their euphoric new single, Undiscovered Colours. Lifted from their third EP Breaking News, out May 13, the track drifts in on soft vocals and lightly strummed guitars before rapidly opening out into soaring, anthemic bursts that feel expansive, and full of youthful momentum. “We wrote ‘Undiscovered Colours’ when I was 17, it’s about how harsh the world can be, especially to good people, and those feelings you can’t even put into words. The idea of an ‘undiscovered colour’ is something impossible to describe, like a certain kind of ache. It also nods to our early days and that fear the fire might not last, but hopefully it never burns out.” Take a listen below.
