Having recently caught Opal Mag at Cardiff's Swn Festival, I didn't have too long to wait until new music, as the Brighton based artist has today shared the dazzling new effort, Wasting. Signing to Venn Records (High Vis, thistle., Meryl Streek), the promising young artist delivers another pristine pop effort where scuzzy guitar melodies light up the backdrop to her soaring vocals. Detailing her latest release, the indie riser shared: “‘Wasting’ is a message to a detached, avoidant lover. Will they stay around to be the kind of person I need, leave, or - worse - linger with non-committal disappointment? The song captures the realisation of a relationship fated to end, having wasted both people’s time.” Take a listen for yourselves below.
