Leading with a pulsing synth beat and driving vocals, the track offers a compelling glimpse into what’s to come. “‘One song away from crying’ is about the precipice of a night out where you know you need to leave and have to make a decision. It’s a deeper decision because it’s less about the night itself but more about a reflection of a deeper internal conflict with your self value that you haven’t looked at yet”, Rachel shares. Following on from last month's single 'The Table', Bristol’s Grandmas House have today shared the latest single from their long-awaited debut album 'Baby You’re A Winner', ahead of its release on August 21st release via Brace Yourself Records. Twisted and brooding, the track's switching tempos and meandering textures serve up another exciting taste of what's to come. “Writing ‘Blue Oblivion’ was a pivotal moment for us as a band,” they explain, “as it made us realise that we didn’t have to write music within any boundaries. It opened up the way we would go on to write the rest of the album, encapsulating feelings of love and loss with a balance of light and dark.” Take a listen below.

Eventually everything has its crux, as Flora from Kansas knows all too well on new single The End - a searing portrait of love at its most destructive. “I thought it would be cool to sing about a certain relationship dynamic that I'm sure some people can relate to,” Flora explains. Approaching the recording with the emotional intensity of a teen drama, Flora wanted the track to hit just as hard as her previous release. After a decade performing in Adwaith, Gwenllian Anthony returns as GWEN, sharing her debut solo single Achub Yr Iaith. Translated as Saving the Language, the track's darkened pop tones and pulsating beat mark a bold new chapter for the well-adorned artist. As Gwenllian explains, “‘Achub Yr Iaith’ came from years of hearing people reduce Adwaith’s success to everything except our hard work. There were even conspiracy theories that we were being funded by the Welsh government to spread the language, as if that explained our achievements. It completely disregarded the years we spent writing, touring, and pushing ourselves creatively, reducing our success to the idea that we’d been handed it simply because we sang in Welsh. This song is about reclaiming that narrative. South London musician and producer Henry Coke has today revealed his endearing new single I Want To Feel It In My Heart. Born into a lineage of vicars and church leaders, Henry drifted from the constraints of the church to wrestle with faith and God out in the open, finding reflections of his songs in the works of Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan, Young Fathers and Low. Here, we get a powerful glimpse of his capabilities as rousing percussion and soaring vocals drive the track toward its towering climax. Of the single Henry shares: “I Want To Feel It In My Heart' is the envy of the feeling of faith, the desperation to feel free in its grace and simplicity. What is living worth if you don’t have a reason? It’s a call to be shown something in a void of silence. People seem to find peace in the silence, and it’s the longing to also feel that way, instead of feeling fearful of it.” Take a listen below.

Following on from last month's single Julia Roberts, jo from school returns today with the tender offering, Weight, ahead of her forthcoming debut EP, Grace, Flair & Distance, which will be released on the 7th August via Chess Club Records. Acting as an introspective moment of reflection, the track’s softly plucked guitar melodies and calming vocals reveal another layer of the artist’s dynamic talent. Speaking about ‘Weight’, Jo explains: “This one was unique in that it was hard to keep writing, but [my producer] Rich knew it could be something. We understood that there was a fine line between supporting the songwriting and emphasising the parts that needed a push, and overdressing the song to a point where the rawness is covered up and lost. It was the first time he ‘pushed’ for me to continue with an idea - I’m very grateful he did. Leeds six-piece Adult DVD have returned this week with news of their highly anticipated debut self-titled album, due out September 25th on Fat Possum Records. Coinciding with the announcement, the band have unveiled their vibrant new single, Cowboy on Aisle Three - a track that perfectly encapsulates their delightfully off-kilter sound through kaleidoscopic synths and infectious hooks. Speaking on the new single, the band's frontman Harry Hanson says - “I came up with the idea when I was in Lidl. I’m sure everyone has thought, ‘Imagine if I just went nuts now,’ to get out of doing the big shop.” Watch the video for Cowboy On Aisle Three below.

Today sees Estonia's Holy Motors release their brand-new single ‘Tough Crush’ alongside the announcement of their third album, Heaven's Night, due out on October 16th via Wharf Cat Records. Brimming with celestial textures, the track’s dreamy soundscapes and soaring guitar work signal an exciting new chapter for the band, offering another enticing glimpse of what’s still to come. Frontwoman Eliann Tulve shared the following about the track: “I saw a tough dancer at a party and developed a heavy crush on their moves. The night was slow & quiet so we went on a drive. As we passed another CircleK on the road I realise they’re a dry companion and it’s time to go home. So is this heaven, is it something else?” Take a listen below.

Merseyside outfit Keyside recently returned with their gleaming new effort Cocodamol. Taken from the band's self-titled debut album, due out 7th August 2026, the track captures the highs and lows of modern romance, wrapping its heartfelt lyricism in a rich blend of melodic guitars and swoon-worthy vocals. “Cocodamol” explores loose love in party culture,” reveals Parker. “Friends-with-benefits, emotional placeholders, intimacy without permanence. It’s about waking up beside someone and being their painkiller: easing the physical hangover while ignoring the emotional one.” Take a listen for yourselves below.

Following on from Slow Down, released earlier this month, Stockholm's alt-pop wunderkind Sibille Attar has returned with KL + SA, the latest cut from her upcoming album, Amor Fati, due out Sept 4th release via PNKSLM Recordings. Here we get a true sense of her towering pop sensibilities as they meet head on with rich vocals and ambitious melodies in grand style. "I wrote this song in a heartbeat which is surprising since my heart was broken,” explains Attar. “I had that song ‘Vampire Empire’ by Big Thief in memory, inspired by how clearsighted a lyric can be even if you’re spun all around then asked not to spin." Brighton newcomers M. Woodroe have burst on to the scene with news of their debut EP The Treatment of Fracture, due out 18th via Venn Records (High Vis, thistle., Opal Mag, Night Swimming). With lead single Sweetness, Sweetness, the band deliver a thrilling preview of what’s to come, as snarling basslines and charging energy surge to the forefront of the track’s infectious sound. Speaking about the single, frontwoman Marcie Garwell stated: “It’s a song about many things -weakness, identity, acquiescence, confusion...the poison you drink to not make a fuss. It’s a pipe bomb sent to order, hate mail addressed to compromise, yet it’s indecisive in all its threats and feelings -never sure of where it lies.” Listen below.
