Surf Rock is Dead - As If
With their new EP due to be released on September 22, Brooklyn's Surf Rock Is Dead return with their latest single As If. With a luminous display of guitar, slicing through their extensive and dream-like reverberated haze, the duo manage to once more create a gorgeous 3 minute 20 pop song that aches to be played again and again. Take a listen for yourselves below.

Psylhouette - Asking
Listing Mogwai, Eno and The Doors as their influences gives you some what of an idea of what to expect ahead of listening to Psylhouette for the very first time, their dreamy guitars and hazy tones perfectly encapsulating this. Here the Brighton-based outfit return with their latest single Asking, a wondrous array of glittered surf pop melodies and swirling vocals set atop their stomping percussion. Take a listen for yourselves below.

Plastic Flowers - Diver
The sheer amount of music I've posted over the years makes it easy to forget gems like Plastic Flowers. Thankfully London via Greece multi-instrumentalist George Samaras is back with his brand new single as he shares Diver. Taken from the forthcoming new album 'Heavenly' out April 22 2016, the track showcases a huge advancement in sound as you're surrounded by dreamy guitars and hazy vocals. Check it out for yourselves below.

Day Wave - Stuck
Few artists can elicit me in to posting each and everything they release. Day Wave just so happens to be the anomaly. Since first emerging at the tail end of 2014, he's gone on to release a tonne of new music, each single building on its predecessor to a great degree. Following on from last month's Gone he returns with the latest track to be lifted form his forthcoming EP 'Hard To Read' sharing Stuck. Take a listen to its dreamy jangly guitar pop nuances below.
Day Wave's 'Hard To Read' EP will be released March 4th via Fat Possum.

Best Friends | Nosebleeds
Announcing their brand new AA sided single at the start of the month Best Friends return with a stream of Nosebleeds. A lot more melodic than Happy anniversary packed full of energetic vigour from the offset with fast paced guitars and grainy vocals, its undeniably catchy melodies and Lo-Fi inspired sound is a true delight making my ears tingle with excitement.
The AA-side is to be released on 23rd September via Art Is Hard Records. Check it out above. You can pick it up here in a 7" deal accompanied by a comic or a rad T-Shirt package.

Best Friends | Happy Anniversary
Imagine, you're casually sunbathing at your favourite beauty spot. You've been working hard all week and you've finally earned yourself some downtime. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a group of hooligans turn up, kick over your drinks, get dirt up all in your sandwiches, cause a riot. That's exactly what Best Friends do to the typical surf pop stereotype. Their latest single Happy Anniversary is a high energy blast of convulsive basslines and fuzzy jangly guitars, more than enough to file them nicely alongside other such favourites as French Films and Splashh. Yet, there's something special about these guys. A distinct vigour that I challenge anyone to not want to get up and dance to after listening.
The bands AA-side 'Happy Anniversary / Nosebleeds' is to be released on 23rd September via Art Is Hard Records. Check it out above. You can pick it up here in a 7" deal accompanied by a comic or a rad T-Shirt package.
